CMU’s Veterinarian awarded prestigious “Ma Shi Huang Award”

CMU’s Dr. Weerapongse Tangjitjaroen, Lecturer, Faculty of Veterinary, was awarded the “Ma Shi Huang Award” from Associate Professor Mushtag Memon, Executive Director of The World Association of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (WATCVM), during the 19th Annual International Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM) Conference in Toronto, Canada.

The prestigious “Ma Shi Huang Award” title is based on the work of Dr. Ma Shi Huang, who was a veterinary doctor for the Emperor’s horses (Emperor Huangdi, known as the Yellow Emperor, 2698-2598 BC) and used Chinese Traditional Medicine and acupuncture. He also wrote many veterinary volumes on the science of Chinese Traditional Veterinary Medicine that are still important today. The “Ma Shi Huang Award” prize is awarded to veterinarians who have demonstrated outstanding results and have contributed to the science of Chinese Traditional Veterinary, with just 5 awards presented to date.
