2024 Global Health Recalibration Conference, dedicated to the theme 'Strengthening Outcomes, Education, Clinical Practice, and Research,' concluded successfully.

The event was hosted by the Faculty of Nursing at Chiang Mai University in collaboration with eight leading global educational institutions. These institutions, including the University of Adelaide, Columbia University, Duke University, University of Illinois at Chicago, Johns Hopkins University, Kagawa University, University of Michigan, and Taipei Medical University, played a significant role in the conference's success. The conference, which took place from September 4-6, 2024, was held at the International Convention Center, The Empress Hotel, in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

More than 400 delegates from both domestic and international backgrounds gathered for the three-day event, which featured a vibrant opening ceremony including traditional northern Thai performances. Participants included academics, health researchers, and students from around the globe, representing countries such as Australia, China, Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Maldives, New Zealand, Pakistan, the Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, the United States, Vietnam, and Thailand.

The aim was to explore and address critical global health challenges, enhancing health outcomes, education, clinical practice, and research. What was particularly inspiring was the emphasis on interdisciplinary collaboration, which was a key theme throughout the event. This collaboration, fueled by your diverse expertise and perspectives, provided a platform for healthcare professionals from various disciplines to build networks, develop solid health teams, and advance global health at regional and international levels.

The success of the conference was greatly influenced by our esteemed keynote speakers, Dr. Jos Vandelaer from the World Health Organization, Professor Dr. Michael Relf from Duke University, Professor Dr. Chia-Chin Lin, The University of Hong Kong, Associate Professor Dr. Sarah Stoddard, University of Michigan, Professor Dr. Nancy Reynolds, Johns Hopkins University, Associate Professor Dr. Frank Donnelly, The University of Adelaide, and Dr. Lei Cheng, Fudan University. Their valuable expertise and insights set the stage for the thought-provoking discussions and inspiration that permeated the event. We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to our invited speakers and moderators, whose contributions and guidance were instrumental in the conference's success.

The 2024 Global Health Recalibration Conference marked the seventh international event hosted by the Faculty of Nursing at Chiang Mai University. It continues its tradition of promoting global health knowledge following six successful conferences held in 2001, 2004, 2008, 2012, 2016, and 2020. A key event highlight was a discussion among representatives from the Global Network of WHO Collaborating Centers, which facilitated idea exchange and strengthened partnerships, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange and reinforcing our commitment to advancing global health outcomes.

The 2024 Global Health Recalibration Conference featured 15 world-renowned speakers and experts. It also showcased 236 research presentations, 120 oral presentations, and 116 poster sessions. In addition, academic exhibitions from domestic and international institutions were held, offering participants insights into the latest advancements and initiatives in global health education and research.
