On 22nd February 2015, Chiang Mai University Council, in the meeting No. 1/2015 has approved using the Education Criteria for Performance Excellence (EdPEx) guidelines as a conceptual framework / tool for holistic quality development. The purposes are as follows: improving the abilities of organization management at both the departmental and university levels, developing various aspects of the management processes towards excellence, and encouraging the knowledge sharing on good practice between departments.
Therefore, Chiang Mai University has established "Organization Quality Development Center”, affiliated with the office of the university, and assigned the vice president as a supervisor to be responsible for the missions of the Center. The authority and responsibilities are promoting and driving organizational quality development in every mission, following up the quality management evaluation at the departmental and university levels, and analyzing the efficiency and effectiveness of various processes, as well as cooperating with executives at all levels, and other tasks as assigned.
