       The library has given importance to “Developing a library to be environmentally friendly” in response to the CMU Smart City-Clean Energy project according to the Chiang Mai University Education Development Plan Phase 12 (2017 - 2021) and the well-being of society. Therefore, the organization has always been developed to be environmentally friendly. In 2020, it has operated according to the requirements of the Green Library Development Criteria of the Library Association of Thailand under the Royal Patronage of His Majesty the King. The library has already passed the green library assessment criteria on December 18, 2020, and in 2021, the library has applied to participate in the Green Office promotion program (Green Office) year 2021 by applying for the assessment. Green Office (Green Office) according to the green office assessment criteria of the Department of Environmental Quality Promotion To operate the office and various activities within the library that have the least impact on the environment. The library has been selected to undergo an assessment to be certified as a green office by the Department of Environmental Quality Promotion. and was assessed on August 31, 2021 in the form of onsite and online assessment results. The library has received the excellent green office certification (Gold) which is the pride of the library. as a result of the commitment of management Cooperation of the working group to develop the green office and personnel including those involved and the development of green offices according to the PDCA quality cycle.
