On September 18, 2024, Prof. Dr. Korakot Nganwongpanich, Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, along with Asst. Prof. Dr. Warangkana Chaisaowwong, Assistant Dean for Academic Services and Lifelong Education, faculty members, and staff from Chiang Mai University's Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, participated in the opening ceremony of the 21st International Society for Animal Hygiene Conference (ISAH) 2024, held from September 18-20, 2024, at the Shangri-La Hotel in Chiang Mai. The ceremony was presided over by Asst. Prof. Tosaporn Pichaiya, Vice President of Chiang Mai University. The event was organized by the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Chiang Mai University, in collaboration with the International Society for Animal Hygiene (ISAH) from the European Union and the Southeast Asia One Health University Network (SEAOHUN).
The conference aimed to provide an academic platform for presenting data and research findings, as well as exchanging knowledge and experiences related to hygiene and safety in animal production, infectious animal diseases, zoonotic diseases, and One Health in the field of animal health. It also aimed to strengthen the systems and personnel involved in animal production hygiene and sustainable livestock practices at both national and international levels.
