Faculty of Architecture, CMU, Participates in the Bamboo Workshop on the Occasion of the 15th World Bamboo Day

The Faculty of Architecture, Chiang Mai University, participated in the Bamboo Workshop on the occasion of the 15th World Bamboo Day, held from September 18-21, 2024. The event focused on learning creative uses of bamboo through various workshops, including bamboo bicycle frame-making, bamboo furniture-making, and bamboo architectural design.
The Faculty of Architecture, CMU, led by Assistant Professor Karn Khamkaew, Head of the Center of Architectural Research and Academic Services and the Creative Lanna Innovation Center (CLIC), played an active role as a speaker and demonstrated basic tools for bamboo architectural design.

The event also featured exhibitions of bamboo art and crafts, product design from bamboo aimed at fostering new businesses, and business matchmaking meetings with entrepreneurs in the bamboo industry.
