Prof. Dr. Nobuo Mishima, Saga University Visited Faculty Of Architecture, Chiang Mai University

On 28th September 2023, Professor Dr. Rawiwan Oranratmanee together with members of executive team of the Faculty of Architecture, Chiang Mai University (CMU) welcomed Professor Dr. Nobuo Mishima, Vice President of International Affairs, and graduate students from Saga University. Professor Nobuo directed a group of graduate students in exchange program to conduct a research survey on the risk management plan of the old town of Chiang Mai and related topics in urban studies. Since 2022, Prof. Dr. Mishima of Saga University and Assistant Prof. Dr. Umpiga Shummadtayar of Faculty of Architecture, CMU have led the collaboration of graduate and undergraduate students from both universities to explore urban space of the old town of Chiang Mai in comparison to those historic districts of Japanese cities. Prof. Dr. Mishima’s continuing visit and collaboration with Chiang Mai University confirms the commitment and common goals we share in future academic advancement of both universities.
