On 24 January 2025, Professor Dr. Korakot Nganvongpanit, Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Chiang Mai University along with executives team, faculty members, and staff, participated in The 60th Anniversary Celebration of Chiang Mai University to mark the 60th anniversary of the university’s establishment. The event was presided over by Professor Dr. Surakiart Sathirathai, Chairman of the Chiang Mai University Council, with Professor Dr. Pongruk Sribanditmongkol, President of Chiang Mai University, delivering a welcoming speech to the consulate representatives, international university partners and attendees. The event also included a lecture on the topic "The Path to Six Decades of Chiang Mai University."

On this special occasion, attendees were honored with a keynote speech by Professor Dr. Surakiart Sathirathai, Chairman of the Chiang Mai University Council, under the theme "The Role of University and Sustainable Development Amidst Global Disruptions." This celebration reflected the university's achievements and its forward-looking approach as it continues to contribute to the future of higher education and sustainable development at the Chiang Mai University Convention Center.
