Research Administration Unit Organizes Training on “Using AI for Enhancing Research for Early-Career Researchers”
16 September 2025
International College of Digital Innovation
On September 10, 2025, The Research Administration Unit organized a hands-on workshop titled “Using AI for Enhancing Research for Early-Career Researchers.” The session was officially opened by Associate Professor Dr. Manad Khamkong, Deputy Dean, and conducted by Associate Professor Dr. Ekkarat Boonchieng. The event drew strong interest from faculty members and graduate students. The workshop aimed to equip participants with the ability to apply Generative AI tools (such as ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude) in advancing their research—from formulating research questions, conducting literature reviews, and analyzing data, to writing academic articles. The training also emphasized ethical considerations in the academic use of AI.
Participants learned about both the potential and limitations of AI in academic work, practiced prompt engineering techniques, and engaged in interactive workshop activities. These included using AI to design research problems, perform literature reviews, analyze both quantitative and qualitative data, and ensure linguistic and academic accuracy.
The program also encouraged knowledge sharing, with participants exchanging experiences and practical prompt examples that can be applied directly to their own research. Alongside skill development, the training highlighted ethical issues and potential risks of inappropriate AI use. This workshop represents an important step in strengthening the research capacity of ICDI researchers, enabling them to keep pace with technological advancements and produce high-quality academic work in the future.
