GNWHOCCNM and NurseCMU Discuss Global Updates, Collaboration Opportunities, and 2024 International Conference Plan

On Tuesday, June 13th, 2023, the Faculty of Nursing at Chiang Mai University participated in a Zoom meeting with the Global Network of WHO Collaborating Centre for Nursing, Midwifery, and Health Development (GNWHOCCNM). The purpose of the meeting was to discuss updates within the Global Network and the Links Magazine. Additionally, the Faculty of Nursing explored collaborative opportunities for GNWHOCCNM to participate in the international conference, which will be held in 2024.

The meeting was led by Professor Michele Rumsey AM, who serves as the Secretariat of GNWHOCCNM, as well as a Professor of Practice and Director of the WHO Collaborating Centre for Nursing, Midwifery, and Health Development at the School of Nursing and Midwifery, Faculty of Health, University of Technology Sydney. Representing NurseCMU were Asst. Prof. Dr. Thanee Kaewthummanukul, the Dean and Asst. Prof. Dr. Jutarat Mesukko, the Associate Dean responsible for Research, Innovation, and Global Mission Integration. The meeting received support from the Research Administration, Academic Services, and International Relations Section, which included Ms. Pimpavee Chuaphoon, Ms. Pattraporn Srisombat, and Ms. Chiara Wuorenmaa.
The Global Network of WHO Collaborating Centers is a dynamic community of nursing and midwifery leaders across six regions worldwide. NurseCMU takes pride in its partnerships with renowned global public health organizations.
