NurseCMU Students Enhance Global Competency through Exchange Program with Kagawa University, Miyazaki Prefectural Nursing University, and Toho University, Japan
29 May 2025
Faculty of Nursing
The Faculty of Nursing, Chiang Mai University, regularly organizes student and faculty exchange programs with international institutions to promote experiential learning and global healthcare perspectives for both undergraduate and graduate students.
.
In May 2025, a group of 18 students and faculty members participated in exchange activities at three partner institutions in Japan:
- Miyazaki Prefectural Nursing University (18–24 May)
- Toho University (19–23 May)
- Kagawa University (25–31 May)
.
During the exchange, participants were warmly welcomed and actively engaged in academic and cultural experiences, including university tours, discussions on the Japanese healthcare system, nursing practice classes, visits to medical institutions and historical sites, and immersive cultural activities. NurseCMU students also shared Thai culture and university life experiences with their Japanese peers.
.
This initiative reflects the Faculty’s commitment to fostering global citizenship, enhancing intercultural understanding, and strengthening international academic partnerships—paving the way for NurseCMU students towards becoming globally competent nursing professionals in the 21st century.
