The International College of Digital Innovation (ICDI) Chiang Mai University warmly welcomed a delegation from Yunnan Normal University (YNNU) from Republic of China

The International College of Digital Innovation (ICDI), led by Assistant Professor Dr. Benjamas Suksatit, Deputy Dean of ICDI, warmly welcomed a delegation from Yunnan Normal University (YNNU), led by Professor Gan Jianhou, Vice President of YNNU, People's Republic of China. The delegation had the honor of paying a courtesy visit to the President of Chiang Mai University, Professor Pongruk Sribanditmongkol, M.D., Ph.D., as well as Vice Presidents Assistant Professor Tanyanuparb Anantana, Ph.D., and Assistant Professor Pitipong Yodmongkol, Ph.D. The meeting took place at the Office of Chiang Mai University, M.L. Pin Malakul meeting room, on the morning of August 19, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. During this session, participants engaged in productive discussions about potential collaborations between the two universities. They also explored the specifics of an ongoing joint research initiative, the "China-Laos-Thailand Education Digitization International Joint Research and Development Center of Yunnan Province" project.
In the afternoon, the YNNU delegation visited ICDI for further discussions on future collaborations and received progress updates on ongoing projects in room ICB1313 of the ICDI Building. The research teams from ICDI and YNNU focused primarily on discussing the development of a digital platform to support innovative teaching and learning models. The team also explored how digital technology, particularly AI, can enhance these educational initiatives. Furthermore, the delegations also have a change to discuss about the future potential collaborations such as academic staff exchange and future joint research project.
