Chiang Mai University and Kansai University Signed MoU on Societal Safety Sciences

Chiang Mai University's Faculty of Architecture and Kansai University's Faculty of Societal Safety Sciences have recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote collaboration and exchange of academic and research activities.

The signing ceremony was held on March 10th, 2023, at Chiang Mai University's Faculty of Architecture. The MoU was signed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Apichoke Lekakul, Associate Dean for Administrative Affairs of the Faculty of Architecture, Chiang Mai University, and Prof. Dr. Shoji Tsuchida, Dean of the Faculty of Societal Safety Sciences, Kansai University.

The MoU aims to establish a framework for academic and research collaboration between the two universities, particularly in the area of societal safety sciences. The collaboration includes joint research projects, faculty and student exchange programs, and sharing of academic resources and information.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Apichoke Lekakul expressed his excitement about the partnership, stating that it will provide opportunities for faculty and students to learn and collaborate with international experts in the field of societal safety sciences. He also emphasized the importance of collaboration in addressing societal safety issues, especially in the context of the ASEAN region.

Prof. Dr. Shoji Tsuchida shared the same sentiment and expressed his confidence in the success of the partnership. He believes that the collaboration will enhance the research capabilities of both universities and contribute to the advancement of societal safety sciences in the region.

The signing of the MoU marks a significant milestone in the collaboration between Chiang Mai University and Kansai University. Both universities look forward to working together to advance academic and research excellence in societal safety sciences.
