Science Students Win Young Rising Stars of Science Award 2023 at STT49

Two students from the CMU Faculty of Science were awarded the Young Rising Stars of Science Award 2023 by the Science Society of Thailand during the 49th International Congress on Science, Technology and Technology-based Innovation (STT49) during January 23 – 25, 2024.
A Gold Medal Prize was awarded to Mr. Peewawit Suriya, a fourth-year student in Mathematics, for his research titled ‘Submodularity Property for Facility Location of Dynamic Flow Networks’ supervised by Associate Professor Dr. Vorapong Suppakitpaisarn of The University of Tokyo and Assistant Professor Dr. Supanut Chaidee of the CMU Department of Mathematics.
A Silver Medal Prize was awarded to Ms. Kasimaphon Phromubon, a first-year master’s student in Applied Microbiology, for her research titled ‘Characterization of Thermophilic Cyanobateria as a Host for a Newly Designed Pathway’, supervised by Dr. Pachara Sattayawat.
