CAMT CMU Partners with Chung-Ang University, Republic of Korea, to Organize Hackathon Creating Innovation for Sustainability
8 August 2025
College of Art, Media and Technology
The College of Arts, Media, and Technology at Chiang Mai University (CAMT CMU) has collaboratively organized the 2025 CAU x CMU Joint Hackathon with Chung-Ang University (CAU) from the Republic of Korea. The event was held under the concept of "Creating Innovation for Sustainability aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)."
This activity aimed to promote and develop students' skills in problem-solving, creative thinking, and innovation for sustainability. Furthermore, it provided a significant opportunity to enhance collaboration skills with international peers, allowing students to practice working in an international context.
The hackathon aligns with the college's strategic objective SO1: Excellent learning ecosystem (learning playground), which focuses on creating an outstanding learning environment and enabling students to develop their full potential.
The competition offered students the opportunity to brainstorm, exchange knowledge, and present innovative business ideas capable of addressing sustainability challenges within the SDG framework. Experts from both universities served as advisors and provided guidance throughout the event. The hackathon took place from August 4th to 7th, 2025, at EZ Classroom 1, Teaching and Learning Innovation Center Building, Chiang Mai University.
