ICDI, CMU Organizes Training to Enhance Understanding of Internal Control and Anti-Corruption Measures

International College of Digital Innovation
On 24 July 2025, the International College of Digital Innovation, Chiang Mai University, organized a training session on the topic “Risk Management – Internal Control: Reducing Errors, Enhancing Routine Work”. The session was honored by the presence of Ms. Manasisha Saewang, Director of the Internal Audit Office, Chiang Mai University, who served as the guest speaker to impart knowledge and provide practical guidance to the college’s support staff.
The training aimed to improve staff knowledge and understanding of effective internal control systems, prevent operational errors, and promote good governance practices throughout the workflow. Emphasis was placed on the principles of usefulness, cost-effectiveness, transparency, and accountability, as well as raising awareness of corruption prevention and misconduct. Participants were encouraged to recognize potential risks that could lead to unethical or inappropriate practices within the work system.
Key topics covered during the session included:
• An overview of ICDI’s internal control audit results from 2023 to 2025, along with system-level recommendations.
• Cautions related to research administration, such as accurate interpretation of project types according to regulations, ensuring expenditures align with stated purposes, and lawful hiring practices.
• Guidelines for receiving donations and budget expenditures in accordance with specified purposes, including proper documentation and record-keeping procedures.
• Promoting an organizational culture of risk awareness and fraud prevention at all levels.
The training was held in a constructive and engaging atmosphere. Participants actively exchanged perspectives, reflecting the college’s strong commitment to transparent and accountable administration.
