On April 22, 2022 ASA announced the results of the 2022 edition of the Architectural Conservation Award. CMU Lanna House Museum (CMULHM) received the Architectural Conservation Award 2022 in the category of architectural and community heritage conservation, ranking in the ‘Good’ category. The event was held by the Association of Siamese Architects under the Royal Patronage (ASA).
The CMULHM’s mission is to conserve traditional Lanna houses by relocating them to the museum, which is supervised by the Centre for the Promotion of Arts and Culture. It focuses on conservation, architectural planning and restoration using traditional craft techniques by experts. Inside there are exhibitions of lifestyles and craft wisdom and the public can learn more about art and culture, and participate in the conservation mission through workshops that are available both online and onsite.
The awarding ceremony, to be presided over by Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, will be held at a later date.
