On Friday, August 23, 2023, Multidisciplinary and Interdisciplinary School (MIdS) of Chiang Mai University hosted the iMMH Mini Open House for International Master of Science in Mental Health program. Associate Professor Dr. Apichat Sophadet, Dean of MIdS, delivered the opening remarks. Prof. Nahathai Wongpakaran, MD, FRCPsychT, Chair of the Graduate Program Committee for Mental Health, extended a warm welcome. Asst. Prof. Penkarn Kanjanarat, Secretary of the Mental Health Program, served as the event's emcee.
The event aimed to widely promote the International Master of Science in Mental Health program to prospective graduate students and to disseminate the program's knowledge and research to the community through mental health services. Additionally, the event served to promote MIdS's role, mission, curriculum, and instruction to faculty, staffs, students, and both internal and external organizations.
Activities at the event included an exhibition showcasing mental health researchconducted by alumni and recent graduates, as well as various booths featuring mental health screenings, a meet-and-greet with mental health experts on "Modern Mindfulness and Mental Health," aromatherapy for improved sleep and reduced depression and anxiety, and a workshop on the health benefits of yogurt and hands-on yogurt-making.
