Chiang Mai University (CMU) and Satake Corporation, Japan, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)

On March 24, 2025, Chiang Mai University (CMU) and Satake Corporation, Japan, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at the Praya Srivisarnvacha Room, Office of the University, Chiang Mai University.

This collaboration aims to promote research and development in food science and technology and bioprocess engineering, focusing on studying rice proteins. Additionally, the partnership will include various other mutually beneficial activities. Senior executives from both institutions attended the signing ceremony. The MOU was signed by Professor Pongruk Sribanditmongkol, M.D., Ph.D., President of Chiang Mai University, and witnessed by Associate Professor Dr. Yuthana Phimolsiripol, Dean of the Faculty of Agro-Industry, representing Chiang Mai University. Mr. Kazuhisa Matsumoto, President of Satake Corporation, signed the agreement, with Mr. Mizuno Hidenori, Ph.D., Managing Executive Officer, serving as a witness.

This partnership will enhance research capabilities, foster innovation, and facilitate knowledge exchange between Chiang Mai University and Satake Corporation, a global leader in rice and food processing technology.

This cooperation marks a significant step in advancing food technology and using rice bran, which will benefit both academia and the industrial sector in the future.
