Distinguished Professor Dr. Nipon Chattipakorn, Director of the Cardiac Electrophysiology Research and Training Center (CERT CENTER), Faculty of Medicine, Chiang Mai University has received great grace from Somdej Phra Kanittha Krom Somdej Phrathep Ratanarajsuda Siam Boromrajakumari to receive “the NSTDA Chair Professor Grant” on the research project entitled “Developing novel therapeutic strategies using medical devices and drugs targeting the mitochondria to prevent chemotherapy-induced heart failure and dementia”. This research project has focused on the discovery of novel therapeutic interventions or active ingredients against chemotherapy-induced heart and brain injuries in cancer patients. The award ceremony was held at the annual conference of the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA Annual Conference: NAC) on Friday, March 28, 2022, at the Thailand Science Park Convention Center, Thailand Science Park, Pathum Thani Province.
