Signing of MoU between CMU and Gstar BIO
5 August 2024
Corporate Communication and Alumni Relations Center (CCARC)
On August 5, 2024, at The Brick X in the Northern Science Park (NSP), Assistant Professor Dr. Tanyanuparb Anantana, Vice President, and Mr. Min-Yun Kim, CEO of Gstar BIO Co, Ltd, signed an MoU to elevate collaborations on science and technology, as well as to promote academic ties between the two parties. Also in attendance were Assistant Professor Dr. Choncharoen Sawangrat, Assistant to the President, Associate Professor Dr. Pitiwat Wattanachai, CMU-STeP Director, and Gstar Bio staff.
This partnership will focus on driving scientific, academic and educational development with the goal of becoming a leader in microorganism research and to develop environmentally friendly projects, as well as to explore other potential areas of collaboration. On this occasion, Gstar BIO executives also visited establishments around the NSP, such as the Innovative Food Fabrication Pilot Plant and the NSP INNO Store which allows innovative products supported by NSP to test the market.
Not only will this collaboration help elevate research, but it will also open the door for industrialization and development of environmentally friendly technology, positively impacting the industrial sector and society at large. This marks an important milestone for the Thai scientific community, as leading figures such as CMU and GStar BIO have joined forces to drive innovation that yields social and environmental benefits.
