CMU Economics Students Win Top Honors at 2025 Setthatat Academic Article Competition

Congratulations to the students from the Faculty of Economics, Chiang Mai University, for their outstanding achievements in the 2025 Setthatat Academic Article Competition, held at Kasetsart University. Their success underscores the faculty’s strong academic foundation and commitment to promoting high-quality economic research.

?? First Prize – Graduate Level was awarded to Ms. Pasinee Dumrong for her article titled "Enhancing collective action: a comparative study of online versus face-to-face team activities in a public bad game." Her work was guided by Associate Professor Dr. Piyaluk Buddhawongsa, Assistant Professor Dr. Supanika Leurcharusmee, and Assistant Professor Dr. Tatcha Sudtasan.

?? First Runner-Up – Undergraduate Level was awarded to Ms. Praphatsorn Damngam and Ms. Athiwan Chumkiew for their article titled "The Impact Path of Globalization on Energy Intensity: The Mediating Roles of Structural Factors and Green Innovation." Their advisors were Associate Professor Dr. Paravee Maneejuk, Associate Professor Dr. Woraphon Yamaka, and Associate Professor Dr. Roengchai Tansuchat.

?? Honorable Mention – Undergraduate Level went to Ms. Patcharaporn Bowloylom for her article "การพยากรณ์หนี้ครัวเรือนจากอัตราดอกเบี้ยนโยบาย: การเปรียบเทียบแบบจำลองเศรษฐศาสตร์และ Machine Learning ในบริบทประเทศไทย" (Forecasting Household Debt from Policy Interest Rates: A Comparison between Economic and Machine Learning Models in the Thai Context), supervised by Dr. Worrawat Saijai.
