CMU Graduate Student Wins “Best Paper Award” from Insects Journal (Q1 Scopus)

The Faculty of Agro-Industry, Chiang Mai University, proudly congratulates Mr. Olumide Fashakin for receiving the “Best Paper Award” from Insects, a Q1-ranked Scopus-indexed journal (Percentile 88%).

Mr. Fashakin’s award-winning publication, titled “Isolation and Identification of Antioxidant Peptides Derived from Cricket (Gryllus bimaculatus) Protein Fractions”, was completed under the Master of Science Program in Food Science and Technology (International Program) and supervised by Asst. Prof. Dr. Suphat Phongthai.

The study successfully identified amino acid sequences of bioactive peptides exhibiting specific antioxidant activity in vitro. This significant finding has drawn international attention, with the publication already cited 26 times worldwide.

This achievement reflects the Faculty’s commitment to fostering impactful research with global relevance and advancing innovation in the field of food science and technology.
