From April 23–25, 2025, Multidisciplinary and Interdisciplinary School (MIdS), Chiang Mai University, organized an ecosystem preparation project through site visits to study the management and development of multidisciplinary programs (MDPs) at four leading institutions: Chulalongkorn University, Kasetsart University, Thammasat University (Rangsit Campus), and King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang
The delegation was led by Associate Professor Dr. Apichat Sopadang Dean of the College of Multidisciplinary and Interdisciplinary Studies, along with Assistant Professor Dr. Salinee Santiteerakul, Dr. Pornsuda Insan, faculty members, and support staff from various departments of Chiang Mai University, who had previously completed the 2025 Ecosystem Training Program.
The insights gained from these visits will be applied to the design and creation of flexible and diverse curricula aimed at fostering T-Shaped and Pi-Shaped skills aligned with CMU students' DNA. Furthermore, the programs will be updated to match the skills required in various industries, ensuring that academic development keeps pace with the rapidly changing landscape of knowledge and competencies.
The initiative aims to create learner-friendly, market-driven programs that meet international standards and foster academic excellence through enhanced collaboration.
