CMU – Chiang Mai Marathon: Collect ‘Precious Memories’ and Special 2nd Generation Medals; Applications Open August–September 2024

The CMU - Chiang Mai Marathon 2024, organized by CMU in partnership with the CMU Alumni Association, is set to take place on Sunday December 1, 2024 with a chance to win a trophy from HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. This year’s theme, ‘Precious Memories’, celebrates the cherished moments shared by all participants throughout all seven previous editions of this event.
This edition of the CMU – Chiang Mai Marathon features a very special memento, a 2nd Generation Medal, which serves as the final piece that covers the top of the CMU Clock Tower model, where beautiful memories are stored and treasured. This year’s event also promises to be a carbon neutral one. The aim is to reduce and offset the carbon footprint or greenhouse gases resulting from energy and resource consumption at the event through the adoption of ecofriendly containers, proper waste management, electric and clean energy vehicles and carbon credit purchase. These steps toward an eco-friendlier event will serve as a part of the application process for certification to the Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (TGO).
