Welcoming the Delegation from Mie Prefecture, Japan

On May 30, 2019, the delegation from Mie Prefecture, Japan, consisting of Prof. Dr. Norihiro Nishimura, Vice President for Social Cooperation Director, Regional Area Strategy Center, Mie University and followers from government and private sectors of Mie Prefecture, visited Chiang Mai University and was welcomed by Clinical Professor Niwes Nantachit, M.D., President and Senior Executives of Chiang Mai University. Both sides discussed the academic cooperation in exchange of researchers and students.
The delegation from Mie Prefecture officially visited Chiang Mai during May 29-30, 2019 with the objective to expand cooperation in the establishment of the “Mie-Thailand Innovation Center” with Chiang Mai City to promote cooperation in research and development, technology transfer and food processing innovations as well as to create additional value in the Thai food industry at the international level.
