MIdS Organizes an Academic Workshop on "Ethics in Human Research" for Graduate Students
On February 27–28, 2025, the College of Multidisciplinary and Interdisciplinary School (MIdS) organized an academic workshop on "Ethics in Human Research" for its graduate students. The workshop was conducted in collaboration with the Human Research Ethics Committee of Chiang Mai University and featured distinguished speakers, Asst. Prof. Dr. Liwa Phatthaisong and Dr. Pornchan Walter, both esteemed committee members.
The primary objective of this workshop was to enhance students’ understanding of ethical principles in human research and to ensure compliance with international research ethics standards. The training aimed to develop students' skills in designing and conducting research that prioritizes the rights and well-being of human participants. Additionally, it sought to promote research practices in Thailand that adhere to internationally recognized ethical principles, thereby minimizing ethical and legal risks associated with research.
The first day of the workshop was conducted in Thai, while the second day featured sessions in English. The event took place at the MIdS Lecture Building, Chiang Mai University.
