Wai Kru Ceremony 2025 at the International College of Digital Innovation
8 July 2025
International College of Digital Innovation
On July 3, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, the International College of Digital Innovation (ICDI), Chiang Mai University, held the annual Wai Kru Ceremony for the academic year 2025 at the college’s multipurpose area. The event was presided over by Asst. Prof. Dr. Benjamas Suksatit, Associate Dean, who delivered an opening address and shared words of encouragement with the students.
The ceremony was filled with warmth and respect, as students from all academic years came together to pay tribute and express gratitude to their lecturers. During the event, the Academic Excellence Scholarship was awarded to five undergraduate students (Year 2–4, International Program in Digital Innovation), who achieved the highest cumulative GPAs for the academic year 2024.
In addition, Certificates of Academic Excellence were presented to 50 undergraduate students who met the academic criteria set by Chiang Mai University.
A highlight of the ceremony was the announcement and presentation of the “Beloved Lecturer Awards” for the academic year 2024, as voted by the students. This year’s honored recipients were:
• Dr. Naret Suyaroj
• Dr. Tanarat Rattanadamrongaksorn
• Dr. Chakkrapong Kuensaen
• Lect. Phimphat Riampanich
This annual Wai Kru Ceremony not only strengthens the bond between students and faculty members but also fosters values of gratitude, respect, and ethical learning—essential foundations for academic and personal development in higher education.
