The Faculty of Nursing at Chiang Mai University warmly welcomed delegates from King's College

The Faculty of Nursing at Chiang Mai University, led by Dr. Thanee Kaewthummanukul, warmly welcomed Prof. Ruth Harris and Dr. Mary Leamy from King's College London. During their visit, they had productive discussions with the executive administrators and explored opportunities for academic collaboration, specifically regarding doctoral studies at King's College London. Dr. Leamy is an Associate Dean for Postgraduate Research Studies and a Senior Lecturer in Mental Health at Florence Nightingale Faculty of Nursing, Midwifery, and Palliative Care. Their visit aimed to strengthen ties and seek partnerships between the two institutions.
The two-day visit, from 20th to 21st July 2023, was held at The Faculty of Nursing at Chiang Mai University. During the visit, representatives from King's College London provided a comprehensive presentation on their Ph.D. program, covering various aspects:
Introduction to the NMPC Postgraduate Research program
Strategies for developing a competitive Ph.D. Research Proposal
Overview of the research divisions and academic staff, highlighting their areas of research interests and methodological expertise.
NurseCMU and the Florence Nightingale Faculty of Nursing, Midwifery, and Palliative Care at King's College London explored potential research collaborations and academic affiliations. This fosters opportunities for mutual growth and advancement in the nursing field. The visit was productive, and both institutions expressed a genuine commitment to enhancing academic ties and furthering nursing education and research. The prospects of future collaboration look promising, and the exchange has paved the way for a valuable and enduring partnership between the two universities.
