Students team “Susu” from the Faculty of Architecture, Chiang Mai University including Ms. Tamonwan Kwandee, Mr. Prem Cheditha, Ms. Chaninard Thephi, Ms. Silin Zhang and Mr. Bolun Liang under the team supervision of Asst. Prof. Dr. Burin Tharavichitkun won First Prize (B) in the 2021 Bamboo Architectural Design and Construction Competition of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Great Bay Area -Association of Southeast Asian Nations International Colleges Design & Construction Competition in Thailand Preliminary Round under the theme “Originated from Traditional Techniques and Arts.” The team was awarded with 6,000 Yuan and the work will be built at Guangzhou Nansha Bird Park, Guangzhou, China and be competed in the international final round on December 12, 2021.
This Preliminary Round of the Bamboo Construction Competition was organized by School of Architecture of South China University of Technology and Guangzhou Nansha Bird Park in collaboration with the Faulty of Architecture, Chiang Mai University. This was the 3rd year of this preliminary competition having 48 teams submitting the works from architecture and related faculties of 14 universities in Thailand.
