22 July 2025
International Relations Division
On 18 July 2025, Asst. Prof. Worakanya Buranaphatthana,D.D.S.,Ph.D, Assistant to the President of Chiang Mai University, and Mrs. Kattima Prasityousil, Director of the International Relations Division, extended a warm welcome to Professor Eiji Nawata, Director of the Kyoto University ASEAN Center, together with Ms. Kanako Miyabayashi, Deputy Director, and Ms. Siwaporn Chousor, Office Manager, on the occasion of their visit to Chiang Mai University and the co-organization of the Kyoto University Mini Fair 2025. The event was held at the Living Space, 3rd Floor of the University Library, with the objective of introducing academic opportunities and exchange scholarships to CMU students.
During the fair, students received comprehensive information on academic exchange programs, scholarship options, and further study opportunities at Kyoto University—one of Japan’s most prestigious and long-established institutions. A key highlight of the event was a testimonial by Mr. A-Chira Prasityousil, a third-year medical student at CMU, who previously participated in a three-week short-term research program at Kyoto University. He shared his experiences conducting research alongside Japanese scholars, adapting to daily life in a foreign country, and the new perspectives he gained—all of which deeply inspired the attending students.
The event welcomed over 100 students from various faculties, reflecting strong interest and enthusiasm among CMU students in exploring global academic pathways. The Kyoto University Mini Fair 2025 marks a significant step in CMU’s continued commitment to fostering international engagement and empowering Thai students to confidently pursue academic and personal development on the global stage.
