The International College of Digital Innovation, Chiang Mai University, has launched the “Digital Marketer Hackathon 2023: Go Global with Cross Border E-Commerce Platform” under Strengthening Entrepreneurs in LMC for Route Number 1 Innovation Corridor Development On February 24, 2023, an opening ceremony was held for the Strengthening Entrepreneurs in LMC for Route Number 1 Innovation Corridor Development, aimed at supporting the growth of the Innovation Economy Corridor. Dr. Kitipong Promwong, President of the Office of the Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation Policy Council (NXPO), presided over the ceremony, joined by Mr. Wiraphong Rhitrot, Deputy Governor of Chiang Mai Province, Mr. Wu Zhiwu, Consul General of the People’s Republic of China in Chiang Mai, Ms. Nabhassporn Bhuttarichval, Consul-General of Royal Thai Consulate-General, Qingdao, People’s Republic of China, Mr. Shen Sunan, Chairman of ASEAN Innovation and Development Promotion Association People’s Republic of China, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chotchai Charoenngam Chairman, Board of Directors, Rail Technology Research and Development Agency and Asst. Dr. Rujira Ouncharoen, Dean of the International College of Digital Innovation at Chiang Mai University. And the executives from the International College of Digital Innovation at Chiang Mai University were also in attendance.
CBEC Project is funded by the Mekong-Lancang Fund and is aimed at establishing a new startup from the Digital Marketer team to conduct e-commerce business. The project also aims to promote cooperation among the younger generation across China, Thailand, Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia, and Vietnam.
CBEC Project participants will be encouraged with training in Social Commerce, Marketing, Negotiation with Entrepreneurs, and the Cross Border E-Commerce Platform enabling them to gain valuable experience in doing business and growing as a startup. Additionally, they will have a mentor to provide guidance throughout the project period. The 10 winning teams will receive prizes worth more than 500,000 baht.
