9 September 2025
Multidisciplinary and Interdisciplinary School
On Friday, September 5, 2025, Multidisciplinary and Interdisciplinary School, Chiang Mai University, organized the event “MIdS Together: Connecting Relationships, Creating Learning” for MIdS graduate students.
The event was opened by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ekkarat Boonchieng, Associate Dean of MIdS CMU, followed by welcoming remarks from Assoc. Prof. Dr. Apichat Sopadang, Dean of MIdS CMU.
The main objectives of this activity were to help new students gain a better understanding of the university’s academic structure and learning system, to foster stronger relationships among students at all levels and staff, to promote knowledge exchange and coexistence within a multicultural context, to preserve and promote Thai culture through engaging activities, and to strengthen a sense of belonging to the School and the University.
The event took place at Room 2-202 and Building 2, MIdS CMU.
Activities included an introduction to MIdS and guidelines for graduate studies, recreational activities for students across disciplines, a Lanna traditional dance performance, a folk music band, and a “Kad Mua” (Northern-style cultural fair). These activities allowed MIdS CMU students to bond, build meaningful connections, and engage in cross-cultural learning through creative experiences in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
