School of Digital Innovation, ICDI, organized a training session for academic and support staff on the topic “Basic Counseling Skills for Advisors.” on August 28, 2024. The session was conducted by Dr. Tanaphong Uthayaratana, a lecturer from the Faculty of Humanities, Chiang Mai University. The training covered the following topics: Detecting Mental Health Issues, Understanding Students’ Minds, and Basic Problem-Solving Skills. These areas aim to equip academic and supporting staffs with essential counseling skills for advising students, enhance communication skills through positive psychology, and reinforce their roles in supporting and assisting students. The training also aims to empower faculty members to become effective advisors.
