ICDI-CMU Welcomes Rossotrudnichestvo for Academic Collaboration Discussions

On April 1, 2025, the International College of Digital Innovation (ICDI), Chiang Mai University, led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Rijira Ouncharoen, Dean of ICDI, along with the college’s executives and faculty members, welcomed Mr. Alexander Sidorov (First Secretary of The Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Kingdom of Thailand), a representative of Rossotrudnichestvo—a Russian government agency responsible for cooperation with CIS countries, Russian expatriate communities, and international humanitarian projects.
The discussion focused on opportunities for academic collaboration between Thailand and Russia. Rossotrudnichestvo proposed connecting ICDI with potential partner universities in Russia that share interests in Digital Innovation and FinTech. The meeting also explored possibilities for short-term exchanges, semester exchange programs, and cultural exchange initiatives. Additionally, Rossotrudnichestvo introduced Russian government scholarships and other academic programs to ICDI.
ICDI expressed its commitment to serving as a bridge for academic collaboration not only within Chiang Mai University but also among other universities in Northern Thailand, fostering stronger educational ties between Thailand and Russia.
