ICDI-CMU negotiate cooperation with partner universities and further academic cooperation between the International College of Digital Innovation, CMU, and Curtin University, Australia, under the One Faculty One MoU (OFOM) project at Curtin University in Perth, Australia

International College of Digital Innovation

The International College of Digital Innovation, Chiang Mai University (CMU), led by Assistant Professor Dr. Rujira Ouncharoen, Dean of ICDI, along with the faculty members visited Curtin University in Perth, Australia, between January 28 and February 2, 2023, negotiate cooperation with partner universities and further academic cooperation between the International College of Digital Innovation, CMU, and Curtin University, Australia, under the One Faculty One MoU (OFOM) project, which is a project organized by Chiang Mai University under the Quick Win Project, Plan 13 policy, to stimulate and encourage the organization to initiate and increase academic cooperation activities with existing partners abroad, which will benefit the exchange of knowledge, research operations, and the extension of new innovations for students and staff at CMU.

In this regard, ICDI had a meeting with Prof. Mark Ogden, Pro Vice-Chancellor, as well as administrators and faculty members from the Faculty of Science and Engineering and the School of Electrical Engineering, Computing, and Mathematical Sciences with the objectives of reviewing and discussing existing and future academic collaborations/partnerships between the two institutions with a data science focus, as well as meeting Curtin University senior management and key faculty staff. Furthermore, to discuss the progress of the 2+2 Double Degree Program of the BS in Digital Innovation program from CMU's International College of Digital Innovation and the BS in Data Science from Curtin University's Faculty of Science and Engineering. ICDI also took this opportunity to deliver two Memorandums of Understanding for academic cooperation at the university and faculty levels to Prof. Sambit Datta, Dean, International, from the Faculty of Science and Engineering, to facilitate cooperation between the two institutions.
