CMU Library recognizes and places importance on energy and environmental conservation. Therefore, the office and various activities within CMU library have been carried out. That has the most negligible impact on the environment and responds to the "CMU Smart City-Clean Energy" planned according to the Chiang Mai University Education Development Plan Phase 12 (2017-2021) and is in line with the 5-year Library Development Strategy (2017-2021). In 2021, CMU Library applied for an assessment to be certified as a green office by the operation of the Department of Environmental Quality Promotion. Furthermore, CMU library has been selected to undergo an audit to certify it as a green office, starting by defining the environmental policy. Appointing the Green Office Development Committee to drive the development of the Green Office jointly identify environmental issues and assess To prioritize environmental problems in terms of resources (input) and pollution (output) to find solutions to significant environmental problems. Determine goals and plans to reduce the use of resources, energy, waste, and greenhouse gases. Training plans and environmental promotion activities have been developed according to the goals and the monitoring action plan.
