NurseCMU and Hunan University of Chinese Medicine Hold Online Meetings to Discuss Academic Cooperation

On July 20, 2023, the Faculty of Nursing at Chiang Mai University (NurseCMU) and Hunan University of Chinese Medicine held an online meeting to discuss academic cooperation activities.

The meeting was led by Assistant Professor Dr. Thanee Kaewthummanukul, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing at Chiang Mai University, and Professor Dr. Ouying Chen, Dean for Development, Global Collaborations at the Hunan University of Chinese Medicine.

In attendance were also Dr. Jutarat Mesukko, Assistant Professor and Associate Dean for Research, Innovation, and Global Mission Integration, Faculty of Nursing, Chiang Mai University, and Professor Dr. Xiaojian Jiang, Assistant Dean for Research, Postgraduate Student Management, Community Service of the Hunan University of Chinese Medicine.

The meeting agenda included the following topics:

Promotion of faculty and student exchanges
Opportunities for future joint research projects
Renewal of the academic cooperation agreement between the two institutions
Both sides acknowledged the potential benefits of academic cooperation regarding faculty exchanges, knowledge-sharing opportunities, and collaboration on research projects. They agreed that joint research projects would help to advance the field of nursing education and research in the region.

The meeting concluded with a commitment to continue discussions and to work towards formalizing their academic cooperation.
