Exploring Academic Collaboration Opportunities with UABSON for 2024 International Conference Support

On Tuesday, June 13th, 2023, the Faculty of Nursing at Chiang Mai University (NurseCMU) held a virtual meeting via Zoom with the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Nursing (UABSON), one of the largest academic health science centers in the United States. The primary objective of the meeting was to discuss potential collaborations in the academic field and explore opportunities for supporting the NUrseCMU's upcoming international conference in 2024.
The UABSON attendees included esteemed individuals such as Dr. Maria R. Shirey, Dean; Ms. Fay B. Ireland, Endowed Chair in Nursing Director, PAHO/WHO Collaborating Centre for International Nursing, School of Nursing, Office of the Dean, The University of Alabama at Birmingham; and Dr. Adelais Markaki, Professor & Director of Global Partnerships, Co-Director, PAHO/WHOCC for International Nursing, the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Representing NurseCMU were Asst. Prof. Dr. Thanee Kaewthummanukul, Dean; Asst. Prof. Dr. Jutarat Mesukko, Associate Dean (Research, Innovation, and Global Mission Integration); and Dr. Preeyakamon Krikitrat, Assistant to the Dean (Global Mission Integration). The NurseCMU support team consisted of representatives from the Research Administration, Academic Services, and International Relations Section, including Ms. Saranya Chaisang, Ms. Pimpavee Chuaphoon, Ms. Pattraporn Srisombat, and Ms. Chiara Wuorenmaa.
