CMU reigns supreme at Startup Thailand League 2021

The Northern Region representatives from CMU, led by the Science and Technology Park, Chiang Mai University (CMU-STeP), joined 400 other teams from 40 universities at the national round of Startup Thailand League (STL 2021), held at True Digital Park in Bangkok.
The winners of STL 2021 were:
1. Winner – Team Erythro Sed, Chiang Mai University
2. First runner-up – Team Threeotech, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi
3. Second runner-up – Team Perm, Chulalongkorn University.
Team Erythro Sed won the competition for their project, Artificial Blood for Quality Control of Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate (ESR) Test Instruments and Proficiency Testing of ESR Test Operators, receiving a plaque of honour, the prize money of 50,000 baht and 5,000 USD worth of Huawei Cloud Credits. The team members were Mr. Takdanai Chumrus, Ms. Rattana Kongta, from the Faculty of Associated Medical Sciences, and Ms. Thanchanok Inta, from the Department of Finance, Faculty of Business Administration. Their supervisor was Assist. Prof. Dr. Suwit Duangmano.
Also a winner at STL 2021 was Team SK1 Film, who presented their project, An Edible Film Made from Agricultural Leftovers. The team won the Popular Vote and received prize money of 20,000 baht. The team members were Mr. Warayus Kantiya, Ms. Kamonwan Techai, Ms. Mingkamol Duangrin, Ms. Pannet Leela, from the Department of Packaging Technology, Faculty of Agro-Industry, and Ms. Wilasinee Boonyen, from the Department of Marketing, Faculty of Business Administration. They were supervised by Assist. Prof. Dr. Suthaphat Kamthai.
