CMU ranked third for ‘all sciences’ in The CWTS Leiden Ranking 2021

In the 2021 CWTS Leiden Ranking based on publications on Web of Science, Chiang Mai University ranked third nationally in the ‘all sciences’ category, based on four indicators: scientific impact, collaboration, open access, and gender.

CMU took the national top spot in one subject—mathematics and computer science—based on collaboration, open access, and gender.
The Subject Ranking is divided into six subjects: all science, biomedical and health sciences, life and earth sciences, mathematics and computer science, physical sciences and engineering, and social sciences and humanities, all of which are based on the aforementioned criteria.
