Associate Professor Dr. Thongchai Fongsamootr, Dean of the CMU Faculty of Engineering, and Assistant Professor Dr. Korrakot Yaibuathat Tippayawong, Assistant to the Dean and Director of the Chiang Mai International Engineering School (CM-IES), attended the signing ceremony of an MoU between Ming Chi University of Technology (MCUT), Taiwan and CMU held on March 24, 2023, at the Office of the University's Phraya Srivisanvaja Room. CMU President, Professor Dr. Pongruk Sribanditmongkol, gave a welcome speech and signed the MoU on CMU’s and Professor Thu-Hua Liu on MCUT’s behalf.
This MoU resulted from a discussion between the two parties in February of this year. It is a general memorandum focusing on staff and student exchanges, special lectures, joint meetings, and research. They will also offer 3+2 fast-track integrated bachelor’s and master’s degree programmes, as well as traditional ones, in engineering, science, business administration, and fine arts. Students will spend a total of five years, the first three years at CMU and then the next two years at MCUT, one for the completion of the bachelor’s degree and one for the master’s degree. MCUT will decide which programmes students are eligible to enroll in.
