On Thursday 18 November 2021, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thapin Phatcharanuruk, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Chiang Mai University and Dr. Chayan Vaddhanaphuti, Director of the Regional Center for Social Science and Sustainable Development (RCSD) extended the warm welcome to the group of French Embassy’s representatives, led by H.E. Mr. Thierry Mathou, French Ambassador to Thailand, with the participation of Dr. Yves Goudineau, Director of EFEO - ?cole fran?aise d'Extr?me-Orient in Chiang Mai, Prof. J?r?me Samuel, Director of IRASEC - Institut de Recherche sur l'Asie du Sud-Est Contemporaine, and Dr. Olivier Evrard, the Representative of IRD - Institut de Recherche pour le D?veloppement in Thailand at the Subaltern Meeting Room of Faculty of Social Sciences, Chiang Mai University. In this visit, Dr. Chayan presented to the visitor the past collaborations between RCSD, EFEO, IRASEC, and IRD as well as the supports that RCSD had offered to Myanmar intellectuals and students.
