Four students from College of Digital Innovation, Chiang Mai University, were selected to represent Thailand in the prestigious Huawei Seeds for the Future 2024 program during September 22 – 27, 2024. The selected students were Ms. Thitirat Charoensawan, Ms. Kammaporn Kangwalwattanasi, Mr. Atinan Tangchiamsri, and Mr. Pantuch Sungkaew. They participated in the Asia-Pacific Digital Talent Summit 2024 in Nanning, China.
Following the summit, students engaged in advanced digital and ICT technology learning sessions, exploring applications and innovations. They also competed in the regional Tech4Good Asia Pacific round in Shenzhen, where they faced off against 25 teams from ASEAN countries, Japan, South Korea, Maldives, Macau, Hong Kong, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and representatives from ASEAN Foundation & ITU. Both Two Thai teams successfully advanced to the top 10 finalists.
The Seeds for the Future program is a flagship initiative by Huawei, aimed at empowering young people worldwide by providing opportunities to explore diverse cultures and develop skills in digital innovation and technology. It fosters international collaboration for a future driven by intelligent digital connectivity.
The participation in this program not only brought pride to the students and Chiang Mai University but also highlighted the potential of Thai youth on the global stage, showcasing their future role in driving the digital world forward.
