College of Digital Innovation, Chiang Mai University, Hosts DIFT 2025-2 Conference under the Theme “Innovating Finance in the Age of AI: Balancing Automation and Human Insight”

International College of Digital Innovation
College of Digital Innovation (ICDI), Chiang Mai University, organized the Digital Innovation and Financial Technology Conference (DIFT) 2025-2 on Saturday, October 4, 2025, under the theme “Innovating Finance in the Age of AI: Balancing Automation and Human Insight.” The conference brought together students, academics, and professionals from international organizations to exchange knowledge and insights in the fields of digital innovation and financial technology.
The event was honored by Asst. Prof. Dr. Rujira Ouncharoen, Dean of the College of Digital Innovation, who delivered the opening remarks. This was followed by a special keynote lecture by Mr. Tobias Mostert Wickens, a Macroeconomics Statistics expert from the International Monetary Fund (IMF), on the topic “The International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the Role of Macroeconomic Statistics in Economic Policymaking and Analyses.”
The conference aimed to encourage graduate students to disseminate their research work, provide a platform for academic knowledge exchange, build confidence in research presentation, and foster international academic collaboration.
A total of nine graduate students presented their research orally. The Outstanding Research Presentation Awards were granted to:
• Ms. Jiali Mao (Doctoral Student) for her research titled “Incentive-Governance Model for Artistic Digital Products Based on Blockchain Copyright Ecosystem” supervised by Dr. Nathapon Udomlertsakul.
• Mr. Jie Niu (Doctoral Student) for his research titled “Battery Aging Doesn’t Have to Be a Black Box: An Adaptive Learning Framework for Degradation-Aware Electric Vehicle Range Prediction” supervised by Dr. Naret Suyaroj.
The DIFT 2025-2 Conference reflects ICDI’s strong commitment to nurturing graduate students to be future-ready and to promoting international knowledge exchange in the areas of digital innovation and financial technology.
