MIdS CMU Hosts the 2nd Workshop on "Generative AI for Medical Professional"

Multidisciplinary and Interdisciplinary School
On Tuesday, April 29, 2025, Multidisciplinary and Interdisciplinary School (MIdS), Chiang Mai University, organized the second session of the workshop titled “Generative AI for Medical Professional.” The session was led by Associate Professor Dr. Ekkarat Boonchieng, Associate Dean of MIdS CMU and a faculty member of Consortium Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence, and Cybersecurity program (managed by MIdS), who served as the main instructor.
The workshop was held at the MIdS building, Chiang Mai University, and welcomed participants from various medical institutions.
Participants gained knowledge and practical skills in generative AI and its applications in the medical field, including AI-assisted diagnosis and treatment recommendations, support in medical record management, hospital administration and resource allocation, patient communication and education, prompt engineering for medical tasks, AI tools for hospitals and healthcare professionals, limitations and ethics of AI in medicine, as well as future trends and how medical personnel can prepare for them.
