Signing of MOU between CMU and Mae Fah Luang Foundation

At 4 pm on February 25, 2022, Clinical Prof. Niwes Nanthachit, CMU President, and ML Panadda Diskul, CEO of Mae Fah Luang Foundation, signed an MoU between the two organisations. Held at Tawan Kangwanphong Room, Office of Strategy, Office of the University, the ceremony was witnessed and congratulated by Dr. Veerathai Santipraphob, Secretary-General and Chairman of the Foundation’s Board of Executive Directors.
This MoU aims to promote research and technological collaboration in agriculture and forestry to reduce greenhouse gases following the principle of sustainable development for handling climate change and utilisation of the terrestrial ecosystem. Both parties will collaborate on various academic activities including exchanges of personnel, data and academic materials, and academic services for joint research, innovation development and workforce production in agricultural and forestry technology for greenhouse gases reduction, joint research and measurement device development, greenhouse gases emission/removal tracking, and carbon capture and storage from agricultural and forest activities. New technologies such as, joint development of agroforestry, herbs and other plants in conjunction with forestation, and research in other fields will open up new possibilities and help generate incomes for farmers would yield sustainability in the economy, society culture and environment, as well as joint academic conferences, workshops and other agreed collaborations.
