Professor Dr. Pongruk Sribanditmongkol, CMU President, chaired the opening ceremony of the 17th International Conference of the Thailand Econometric Society (TES2024). Professor Jean Tirole, Nobel laureate in Economics, gave a keynote lecture on ‘Economics for the Common Good’, while Assistant Professor Dr. Pairat Kanjanakaroon, Dean of the CMU Faculty of Economics, gave an overview report. The objectives were to spread knowledge and innovation in econometrics in both theory and practice, serving as a platform for academic presentations, and building networks of collaboration, exchanging ideas and the experiences of academics, researchers, econometrists, and economists from other branches on the international scale. The conference was held at the Wellness Lifelong Education Hall in the CMU Faculty of Economics from January 4 -6, 2023.
