        WorldShare Interlibrary Loan Service to acquire and share information resources. Types of articles in electronic format files for users to use. To provide users with access to the information they need without being limited to the information resources. It's available at Chiang Mai University. or in the country only but has access to the information resources of the libraries of many countries around the world To promote education and research for students, teachers, researchers, and personnel of Chiang Mai University. The library has the policy to support the service fee to allow access to information resources free of charge.

Terms of Service

1. Eligible users: students, teachers, researchers, and staff of Chiang Mai University.
2. Service resources and service fees are as follows:
        2.1 Journal Article: Free journal/database articles
        2.2 Book Chapter: Free book chapters
        2.3 Book: Free books from Thammasat University Library
        2.4 Book: books from overseas libraries (charges apply)

3. Service usage type: electronic documents and books
4. Duration
        4.1 Electronic Documents: Approximately 3-7 days (or in some cases more than 30 days, depending on the document owner library).
        4.2 books

  • Borrow the actual book from the Thammasat University Library for about 1-2 weeks (depending on the owner's library and the local shipping company).

  • Borrow real books from foreign libraries for about 1-2 months (depending on the owner's library and the international shipping company)

Service process

1. Search for documents from the Worldwide Search & Request box, CMU Library's Website
2. Verify your identity with CMU Account
3. When the desired item was found, it appears to be "Other libraries worldwide" click on the item's title.
4. Select the purple button Request Item through interlibrary loan to complete the document request form. or contact email interlibraryloan@cmu.ac.th
5. The library will then procure documents from libraries in the global network for free.
