The leadership from Digital Innovation International College at Chiang Mai University, including Assistant Professor Dr. Rujira Ouncharoen (Dean), Associate Professor Dr. Manad Khamkong (Associate Dean), Assistant Professor Dr. Benjamas Suksatit (Associate Dean), Associate Professor Dr. Somchai Sriyab (Assistant Dean), Dr. Annop Thananchana (Director of the International Research and Academic Service Center), Lect. Dr. Peang-or Laohavilai, and Lect. Dr. Worawit Tepsaen (lecturer), actively participated in the 3rd International Conference on Big Data Engineering and Education (BDEE 2023) hosted by Chengdu University. The event was co-hosted by the International College of Digital Innovation at Chiang Mai University, the Civil Aviation Flight University of China, and the Sichuan Computer Federation. The conference took place from August 20 to August 24, 2023, in Chengdu, People's Republic of China.
The International College of Digital Innovation at Chiang Mai University has maintained a long-standing academic partnership with Chengdu University, the People's Republic of China, which includes collaborative research projects and an academic cooperation agreement. This collaboration aims to foster cooperation in academic pursuits, research, and innovative development. The organization of this international academic conference serves as a platform for the exchange of knowledge among faculty and students. It offers an opportunity for faculty members and students from the International College of Digital Innovation to present their research findings to a network of experts in related fields. Dr. Phillip Y Freiberg, a Lecturer at the School of Digital Innovation, jointly presented work on the topic of implementing emerging AI technology in education, drawing on insights gained from ICT in education. Also, Dr. Worrawat Saijai a Lecturer at the Faculty of Economics, CMU, and Dr. Somsak Chanaim a Lecturer at the School of Digital Innovation, jointly presented work on the topic of Exploring Contagion Effects Between Commodity and Securities Markets During the Post-COVID-19 Pandemic and the Russia-Ukraine Conflict using a Dynamic Conditional Correlation Approach.
